Job Summary:
We are seeking a fast-paced, high-energy Food Runner to join our hospitality team. You will act as the crucial link between the kitchen and our guests, ensuring that dishes are delivered hot, fresh, and accurately to the correct tables. The ideal candidate works well under pressure, communicates clearly with both chefs and service staff, and thrives in a bustling restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Your primary duties will include, but are not limited to:
Food Delivery: Delivers food orders quickly and efficiently from the kitchen expo line directly to guest tables.
Order Accuracy: Inspects every plate before leaving the kitchen to ensure it matches ticket details and meets presentation standards.
Garnish & Accompaniments: Ensures proper utensils, condiments, and side dishes accompany the correct orders.
Table Maintenance: Assists servers by clearing empty plates, wiping down tables, and keeping dining areas clean.
Team Communication: Communicates guest requests, allergy alerts, or ticket delays clearly between the kitchen and front-of-house staff.
Stocking & Cleaning: Keeps the line stocked with plates, trays, and garnishes, and maintains a sanitized workspace.
Required Qualifications:
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk quickly, and carry heavy loaded food trays for long shifts.
Speed & Efficiency: Capable of working gracefully and safely in a loud, fast-paced environment.
Attention to Detail: Ability to memorize table numbers, seat positions, and identify ingredients on sight.
Customer Focus: Polite and professional attitude when interacting with guests at their tables.
Availability: Flexible schedule to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Skills:
Basic understanding of food health and safety guidelines.
Previous experience as a food runner, busser, or server in a high-volume restaurant is a bonus, but not required. We appreciate candidates who are eager to learn and grow
