Job Description
Van de Walle is looking for a Pastry Cook I who is passionate about baking and pastry. This position is responsible for daily production and maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and cleanliness in the kitchen.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare daily bakery and breakfast items such as sandwiches, mousses, croissants, pâte à choux, coffee syrups, batters, ganache, cookie dough, and bagel dough.
• Follow recipes and production standards to ensure consistency and product quality.
• Perform daily kitchen cleaning and maintain all work areas and equipment in excellent condition.
• Comply with all Port 27 food safety and cleanliness standards.
• Work efficiently to support overall bakery operations.
• Be punctual, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
• Valid Food Handler Certification (required to apply).
• Previous experience or knowledge in baking and pastry.
• Availability to work weekdays, weekend mornings, and holidays.
• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
