Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Garment Alterations & Repairs: Perform alterations and repairs on vintage clothing, including hemming, resizing, patching, and restoring delicate fabrics.
Custom Fittings: Conduct fittings with customers to ensure garments are tailored to their preferences and measurements.
Fabric & Material Selection: Advise on appropriate fabrics and materials for repairs and alterations, maintaining the integrity of vintage pieces.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all sewing machines and tools are in optimal working condition.
Inventory Management: Assist in managing the alterations inventory, keeping track of ongoing projects and deadlines.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional service, guiding customers through the alteration process and offering expert advice on garment care.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional sewing experience.
Skills: Proficient in operating various sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques.
Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail to ensure high-quality alterations and repairs.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
